Sure Counselling
Dawn Kelly
Welcome to Sure Counselling, my name is Dawn.

Life can be difficult and overwhelming for many reasons. During these times we can feel anxious, depressed, lonely, confused, frightened and trapped.

I can offer a supportive environment where you feel heard and understood whilst you explore and navigate the challenges that you are facing.

Through self-exploration, my aim is to facilitate your self-discovery, personal growth, finding resilience, and a sense of self-empowerment.
About me
I am a fully qualified Person-Centred and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists - registration number 397189).

Offering an integrative approach, I am able to tailor the sessions to meet your individual needs and support your journey towards growth and well-being.

The sessions I offer are client led where you can explore a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, addiction, grief, emotional eating and much more.

Personal Growth
Asking for help and knowing where to start can feel daunting.

By providing a supportive environment for self-exploration, you can unpick and unpack all that you are experiencing and feeling. This is achieved by offering an empathic space where you can feel heard and understood without the fear of judgement.

By helping you recognising that you are an expert on yourself, counselling can help you with:

-
Becoming more confident
-
Managing depression
-
Reducing anxiety and stress
-
Improving relationships
-
Improved communication
-
Coping with grief
Your journey towards a more fulfilling life starts here.
-

-

-

-

-
Work/life balance
The Sessions
Before we start working together, we will arrange a free 20 minute, no obligation and confidential telephone consultation. This will enable you to make an informed decision on whether counselling is right for you.

Offering both short and long-term counselling, the number of sessions needed will vary with each individual. Initially 6 – 12 sessions are recommended, with regular reviews to give you the opportunity discuss your sessions.

Each session will last 1 hour. Initially, weekly sessions are recommended, however fortnightly and monthly can be discussed.

I am able to offer face to face, telephone and online sessions. What you choose will depend on your personal preference, what feels the most comfortable and what fits into your lifestyle. You decide what is best for you.

Confidentiality
Confidentiality is an essential part of the counselling relationship and everything that is brought to the session is kept in confidence. This allows you to comfortably share and explore all your experiences, thoughts and emotions at your own pace.

As a member of the BACP I am ethically obliged to disclose information in the event of the following:

-
To protect self and others from harm
-
If legally required to do so
-
When informed consent is given

Confidentiality will be fully discussed during our first session.
The Cost
The session cost will be discussed during the initial telephone consultation. Upon booking a session, payment will be required in advance of, or at the session. In the event of non-payment, no further sessions can be scheduled.

More than 24 hours’ notice is required should you need to cancel or re-arrange a session. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session will need to be paid for.

If you are struggling to attend sessions, whatever the reason, it is recommended that you get in touch as soon as possible so we can find a solution together.
